Yoga is balance of the soul, looking at existence with an equal viewpoint, in all its aspects. Just as a well-cut diamond has many facets, each reflecting a different tone of light, so the term yoga reflects one meaning and reveals different aspects of the full range of human endeavour directed towards achieving inner peace and happiness; remaining calm in the face of success or failure.
Yoga is the method by which the restless mind is calmed, while the life energy is directed constructively. Just as a mighty river harnessed with dams and canals creates a vast reservoir of water, prevents famine and provides an abundance of energy for industry, so too the mind, when controlled, provides a reservoir of peace and generates abundant energy for human upliftment.(“Teoria e pratica dello Yoga” B.K.S. Guided by Agata Romeo, an internationally qualified professional Yoga teacher, you will learn the techniques of yoga and pranayama in the beautiful scenery of the archaeological site of the island of Motya. A scenic backdrop that will allow you to make the most of the millenary oriental discipline and get in tune with your body and in harmony with creation.yoga

 

The day includes a welcome drink, followed by a walk along the lagoon. Afterwards, you will take part in an evocative canoe trip to the island of Motya, where, once you arrive, a vegan lunch of couscous made from ancient Sicilian grains and vegetables, savoury pie with organic vegetables and 0 km seasonal fruit will await you. After lunch, the programme includes a visit to the island’s fascinating archaeological excavations, a precious legacy of the Punic-Phoenician civilization that once existed there, and then a Yoga and Pranayama session. At the end of this you will return to the canoe for a refreshing drink and a herbal tea that will conclude your fantastic experience.
