ALL4CLIMATE- ITALY 2021
Tedtrip takes part in ALL4CLIMATE- ITALY 2021, a series of events based in Italy that will focus on the fight against climate change, with the aim of marking a breaking point in 2021 for the rapid rise of global warming.
Launched by the Ministry of Ecological Transition in collaboration with Connect4Climate of the World Bank Group and with the participation of the Lombardy Region and the Municipality of Milan, ALL4CLIMATE- ITALY 2021 aims to foster a constructive dialogue with the desire to achieve the goals set out in the Paris Agreement.
Tedtrip, a startup that has always been close and committed to sustainable development, will be an active part of this project.
The methodology devised by its creators is indeed designed to ensure added value in terms of sustainability to travelers, and Matteo Fici and Giusi Carioto, the two Tedtrip founders, will introduce their idea of sustainable and experiential tourism.
The focus on the Mediterranean diet
In this essential journey, the startup cooperated with Idimed, the Institute for the Promotion and Valorization of the Mediterranean Diet, that will join the All4Climate – Italy2021 represented by its general manager Francesca Cerami and Adele Traina, nutritionist and member of the Idimed Specialist Committee, who will introduce the Mediterranean Diet and the seasonal recipes included in the catalogue La dieta mediterranea per tutto l’anno (The Mediterranean diet throughout the year).
Climate change and ecological transition
Among the participants there will also be Professor Federico M. Butera, one of the leading Italian experts on sustainability and winner of the Demetra 2021 prize, who will present his book Affrontare la complessità. Per governare la transizione ecologica (Edizioni Ambiente). His work is a clear analysis of the great problem of climate change, of the critical reduction of biodiversity in recent decades, but also of the false beliefs on these issues.
The role of legumes
The writer Mario Liberto will guide us through the discovery of the treasure of legumes, the real protagonists behind the cause of environmental sustainability and food quality. Legumes, along with cereals, are the foods that have always guaranteed the life of man on earth. This is well known by farmers who have constantly sown legumes, both as a means of sustenance and to ensure the productivity of their crops. The book deals with all aspects of legumes: history and legends, health aspects, the DOP “jewels of Italy”, IGP, Presidi and PAT, ethno-anthropological aspects, biodiversity.
The events will be held on these dates: Fisthuna – 1/5 settembre 2021 – Favignana (TP);
Bio in Sicily 2021 – 2 Ottobre, Bagheria (PA)
