She was born in Palermo on 28/02/1989 (under the sign of Pisces) she obtained the qualification of “Technician for Tourism Company” and she was fascinated by the communicative power of the Italian Sign Language (LIS), and she studied at ENS (Italian Agency for the Protection and Assistence of the Deaf). From 2011 to today she has worked at various secondary schools as a Communication Assistant.
Working with TGlobal and Assoprovider (National Association of Independent Providers), she has developed skills in the experiential tourism sector, setting up a methodology for operators in this innovative sector, the TEDs.
The motivational lever of this path is love for one’s own land, which pushes TEDs incessantly to conduct research and insights regarding history, art, popular and culinary culture. Passionate since she was a child of the culinary tradition of her land and in particular in the area of Sicily, Giusi ventures herself into the preparation of traditional dishes, and sometimes in the rediscovery of recipes fallen into “disgrace”, the misfortune of having ended up in oblivion, and she does all this on land and on seas being a skipper; in the boath she willingly spends her time in front of a tilting kitchen. Through the methodology identified, Giusi combines the data that emerged from the research, creating interesting and precious links with history, mythology, religion and even astronomy.
